Electric Stranding ReelWhat are the precautions for the manufacturing process? Let's continue to explore in this issue.

5. What two requirements must the structure of the sector-shaped core meet?
Answer: (1) The single wires on the center layer's center axis should be arranged along the center line of the sector. If this requirement cannot be met, the single wires will be stretched or compressed when the core bends, causing the single wires to bulge and thus altering the shape of the sector-shaped core. (2) Sliding requirement: The single wires on the outer periphery of the sector should be able to slide on the center layer. This is because after insulating the sector wire, when it is twisted into a cable core, there is no untwisting, and each single wire on the periphery strives to slide around the center plane. If this requirement is not met, it will also cause the single wires to jump, damaging the shape of the sector wire.
6. Why are the twisting directions of adjacent layers of concentric layers twisted in opposite directions?
Answer: (1) The twisted wire is circular. If adjacent layers are twisted in the same direction, it is easy for the single wires of the outer layer to embed into the inner layer, thus damaging the complete circular structure. (2) When the twisted wire is under tension, the torque generated by each layer is opposite and can cancel each other out, preventing the single wires of each layer from rotating in the same direction and causing loosening, while also avoiding the phenomenon of looping when the twisted wire is not tightened. (3) In steel core aluminum stranded wires, it can reduce AC resistance, decrease corona phenomenon, and minimize energy loss.
7. What are the two commonly used methods for twisting insulated wire cores together? Which one is currently used in domestic urban communication cables?
Answer: Pair twisting and star twisting. Currently, domestic urban communication cables use pair twisting.
8. Why is the entrance of the mold hole used for twisting cables flared?
Answer: The flared entrance of the mold hole has two benefits: (1) It allows for gradual compression of the twisted cable core; (2) It prevents injury to the cable core.
9. What are the main differences between a bobbin stranding machine and a cage stranding machine?
Answer: The stranding part of the cage stranding machine is integrated with the pay-off device, while the stranding part of the bobbin stranding machine is not integrated with the pay-off device, but is connected to the traction device and the take-up device.
